Job Description:
New Business Development: Identify and target manufacturer, vendor and dealer prospects in the manufacturing, healthcare, material handling, technology, life sciences and other equipment sectors and develop customer leasing relationships, producing arrangements and partnerships that create regular lease opportunities and successfully completed originations.
Lease Origination: Culminate vendor prospect relationships to the point where vendor clients commit to lease transactions with Somerset, utilizing a wide variety of structures, internal process and market-based knowledge.
Job functions will include:
- Target specialized and vertical markets and industries that connect to Somerset?s capabilities.
- Prospect and present to new vendor relationships and gain relationship commitment.
- Develop and maintain strong external and internal relationships.
- Strong customer service levels and responsiveness.
- Managing and owning lease originations throughout the process.
- Driving results within a framework of sales opportunity cost, fiduciary responsibility and self-disciplined time management.
- Increase company originations and net income by achieving or exceeding individual annual targets and sourcing profitable lease originations.
Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years leasing sales experience, a history in vendor relationship development and a proven track record in lease originations are required. Exceptional oral and written communications skills are essential. Acumen in finance/lease pricing, credit/underwriting, lease documentation and other areas critical to lease originations are required. Strong experience in TValue or other financial pricing vehicles, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word and experience using CRM database tools are mandatory. A four year college degree is the minimum education requirement.
