Dennis Hopper's son accused of sexually battering underage girl

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - Henry Hopper, the son of deceased "Easy Rider" star Dennis Hopper, is being sued by a woman who claims that the younger Hopper sexually battered her underage daughter.

The suit claims that the 21-year-old Hopper - the product of his father's marriage to his fourth wife, Katherine LaNasa - met the girl, then 15, through a mutual friend in February 2011. The pair continued to communicate via Facebook, the suit says, with Hopper repeatedly inviting the girl to his Venice, Calif. home, and plying her with drugs and alcohol.

The suit goes on to claim that Hopper - who starred in the 2011 Gus Van Sant film "Restless" - "engaged in sexually offensive conduct with her," which allegedly included sexual intercourse and oral copulation, once he thought she was intoxicated.

The suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court last week, claims that such incidents occurred multiple times, starting in April 2011 and ending February 2012.

The mother of the victim - identified as Jane Doe in the suit - says that her daughter suffered mental and other injuries and had to undergo treatment from multiple healthcare professionals.

"he minor was hurt and injured in her mental health, sustaining shock and injury to her nervous system, all of which caused her great mental and nervous strain, pain, suffering and emotional distress," the suit reads.

A representative for Hopper has not yet responded to TheWrap's request for comment.

It's unclear whether criminal charges were ever filed against Hopper.

The suit, which alleges sexual battery, assault and battery, negligence and negligence per se, seeks unspecified damages, plus interest and court costs.

Dennis Hopper - who died in May 2010 at the age of 74 after battling prostate cancer - was married five times and "was notorious for his troubled relationships with women," according to Rolling Stone. His second wife, Michelle Phillips, divorced him after just two weeks.
