A Saudi girl bracing herself for marriage on the next day was surprised to find an uninvited visitor in her bedroom?a monkey.
The girl said she had first thought it was a cat as the light was dim at night inside her room in the southern town of Khamis Mushait.
When she came near it, her surprise turned into a shock when she saw the monkey baring its teeth at her.
Her screams attracted the other family members, who tried to use a banana to get the monkey down after climbing on top of the lights.
?When my family showed it the banana, the monkey raised its hand as if to say no thanks?they then used sticks to force it down and put it in a box?they then took it to a nearby mountain and set it free in an area inhabited by monkeys,? the unnamed girl told Sharq Arabic language daily.
